We humans tend to name our possessions.  “Casa Amore”, “Knot Yours”, “Spanky”, and other weirdness comes to inanimate objects we own.  Some think this is because these possessions define us so we must name them.  For now, let’s just say that we name our cars, boats, and other key things so we can quickly refer to them in speaking.  I don’t want to say “my car” or “your car”, but by referring to a name we have imposed on the car, we can say “let’s take Spanky”.  Yep, that is what we call our roadster.

Boats over 25 feet are required to be named so they can be registered in the US by the Coast Guard.  Some names make sense and others, well….

I am sure there is a lot of thought that goes into these names.  Which brings me around to talk about Maxwell….our Airstream.

We have a certain affinity toward good commercials and catchy phrases.  I like to respond to the guy who calls at 5:30 in the evening trying to sell us new windows.  The call goes something like this…. [guy] “Hi, this is Jim from Country Windows”.  [me] “…and what are you wearing, Jim from Country Windows?”.  That gets them every time.  The good ones answer with “…uh, Khakis”.

But I digress.  We were driving down the 2 lane road in town, one evening, when, my normally well composed lady, rolled down her window and stuck her head out while screaming “WEEEEEEEEEE, WEEE, WEEEEEE” as we passed some people.  I asked what the #@*$ was that?  She said it was her impression of Geico’s Maxwell the Pig who hangs out the window with 2 pinwheels and yells WEEEEE.  He’s having the time of his little life.  So, there it is.  In this trailer, we will have fun, crazy, gallivanting time…..and now you know the rest of the story…oh and one other note……

WEEEEEEEEE…….
