For all you with RVs…Okay, full disclosure…. There were times I forgot a few things prior to hooking up our trailer and heading off down the road only to realize later that things were flapping, items had fallen on the floor or (oops) I left something at our last campsite.

There have been recent posts and requests for a good checklist to use to ensure nothing major happens. And having suffered the effects of not checking things well, we decided to create one, stealing, I mean borrowing items that fit well. So below and attached is the list we religiously use before towing our Airstream down the highway.

This Departure Checklist is based on the concept of looking up for things above your head, look down for things below, and around for all those other items you may have missed. My wife does this on the inside while I work on the outside items then we swap and check each other. Frequent items missed have been turning off the propane, locking windows, closing the vents and locking the stove hood fan vent. I hope this helps.
